February 17th-20th and February 24th-27th, 2022
Mainstage Theatre

Prospero, having been stripped of his status as Duke of Milan, lives in exile on an island populated by sprites, fairies, and monsters, with only his young daughter Miranda for company.  Prospero uses magic to lure his enemies to the island, but after he learns his plan of vengeance may imperil his daughter’s happiness, he faces a choice between revenge and forgiveness.  One of Shakespeare’s last plays, The Tempest is a popular tale of romance, magic, spectacle, and spirituality now seen as one of his best works.
